DCP Consumables & Spare Parts

Dynamic Cone Penetrometer testing is only as reliable as the components doing the work. Dynamics GTS supplies the full range of DCP and Perth Sand Penetrometer consumables in hardened and high-tensile steel, so your equipment keeps returning results you can defend.

Penetration Tips

Wear items that determine the accuracy of every blow count:

• DCP-001: DCP Cone Tip: Standard 30° cone tip, machined from hardened steel to Rockwell C50 for consistent penetration geometry.
• DCP-011: Perth Sand Penetrometer (PSP) Tip: 50mm x 16mm diameter tip in hardened steel, Rockwell C50, for PSP testing in sands.

Rods & Driving Components

The load path from hammer to tip is built to resist deformation:

• DCP-002: Extension Rod 1m: High tensile steel (Rockwell C50-C55) with 100mm graduated increments and a 9.5mm (3/8″) thread for rapid, secure coupling.
• DCP-008: DCP Helmet: Hardened steel anvil, Rockwell C50, engineered to minimise deformation under repeated hammer impact and transfer energy cleanly to the rod.

Tools & Fasteners

Everything needed to service the assembly in the field:

• DCP-004: Grub Screw: 9.5mm (3/8″) hardened steel grub screw, Rockwell C50, for securing the tip assembly.
• DCP-018: DCP Allen Key: 4.5mm (1/8″) key sized for the DCP grub screw.
• DCP-003: Rod Extruder: Heavy-duty extruder with a silver anodised coating for straightforward rod recovery. Coming soon.

Consumables Specifications

Ordering Notes:

• Compatibility: All components are dimensioned for the Dynamics GTS DCP/PSP hammer assembly and standard 9.5mm (3/8″) threaded systems.
• Wear Items: Cone tips and PSP tips are consumables. Ensure inspection for blunting or deformation before each test series, and replace as required.
• Complete DCP/PSP Hammer kits and our Rod Extruder are coming soon!  Contact us to register interest or check current lead times.
